9 Weeks

How far along? 9 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 0
Maternity clothes? Kind of - I bought a Beband from Target this week.  It is awesome!
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: 8-10 hours of sleep every night
Best moment this week: Getting to go out to eat with my mom on Thursday.  We always get to talk about pregnancy/baby stuff when we're together.
Have you told family and friends: Yes, close family and friends.
Miss Anything? Having energy to do fun things like go to the movies and go to concerts
Movement: No
Food cravings: Cheese sticks, pasta salad, chocolate, apples
Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat, oranges, oatmeal.  Also, taking my women's multivitamin has become a problem.  I've been taking my folic acid and B6 supplements every day, but my horse pill of a multivitamin has been very difficult to swallow.  I've had to cut it in half and take it later in the day.  My husband has also been doing all of our grocery shopping for the past 3 weeks.  The thought of being in a store with all of that food around makes me queasy just thinking about it.
Have you started to show yet: Yes, but it just looks like I have a little flab around my belly, so no one has asked if I'm pregnant yet.
Gender prediction:  Not sure.  Can't wait to find out!
Labor Signs: No
Symptoms: Nausea, fatigue, sore boobs, sensitivity to smell, acne, emotional
Belly Button in or out? In
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Moody.  I've been having random tearful moments.  I started crying while watching the Hurricane Sandy footage a week ago.  Then I started crying last night because I never have the energy to do fun things anymore.  Pretty much all I do is work and sleep.  I find that I get extra emotional when I'm tired.  My husband has been so sweet to me saying things like, "You're doing so good.  I'm so proud of you."  It helps hearing his words of encouragement.
Looking forward to: Friday, November 16...our first appointment!  AND I'm also looking forward to just being in the second trimester - I can't wait to experience this glow that everyone keeps talking about.

Here's some info. from babycenter.com on pregnancy at 9 weeks:

How your baby's growing:

Your new resident is nearly an inch long — about the size of a grape — and weighs just a fraction of an ounce. She's starting to look more and more human. Her essential body parts are accounted for, though they'll go through plenty of fine-tuning in the coming months. Other changes abound: Your baby's heart finishes dividing into four chambers, and the valves start to form — as do her tiny teeth. The embryonic "tail" is completely gone. Your baby's organs, muscles, and nerves are kicking into gear. The external sex organs are there but won't be distinguishable as male or female for another few weeks. Her eyes are fully formed, but her eyelids are fused shut and won't open until 27 weeks. She has tiny earlobes, and her mouth, nose, and nostrils are more distinct. The placenta is developed enough now to take over most of the critical job of producing hormones. Now that your baby's basic physiology is in place, she's poised for rapid weight gain.
