After our 20-week ultrasound, we came home and got ready for our gender reveal party. We invited close family to our house that night and had snacks and cupcakes. I got a mix of blue and pink decorations and told everyone to wear blue or pink to cast their vote. We had a great time entertaining everyone and dragging the big reveal out as long as we could. After about an hour of snacking and talking, Jimi's dad said, "Well, when are we going to find out?" I got out the cupcakes and Jimi got out the camera to film everyone's reactions. It was a great time and I'm so glad we had a gender reveal party. Here are some pictures from the night:

The cupcakes I made - they have colored icing in the middle
Our nephews and brother-in-law - they came early and without our sister-in-law because she was sick.
I still made them eat the cupcakes even though we weren't quite ready for the party.
All three of their votes were for a boy.
Our nephew Beckham digging into his cupcake
When he saw the pink icicng he said, "It's pink." I told him that meant that our baby is a girl.
Then he said, "You can have 2 babies - I'll play with the girl and Sam (his brother) can play with the boy."
Our family - my grandparents, my mom, Jimi's grandma, and Jimi's dad.
They're each representing their guess with the color of their shirts.
We made them all take a bite of their cupcakes at the same time.
I'll never forget my grandpa going, "Pink!"
Inside of the cupcakes - I had to try one prior to the party just to make sure it would work.
I used an apple corer to hollow out the center of the cupcakes, squirted pink frosting in the middle,
plugged the cupcake back up with the top of the cake, then frosted the top.
I used Pillsbury's Easy Frost aerosol can to frost the tops. It was easy and tasty!

So happy
