Lately...Concerts, Coupons, and More

OMG!  My life is crazy busy right now.  I am so wiped at the end of every day!  Thank goodness it's a four-day work week.  I am going to see Kelly Clarkson, The Fray, and Carolina Liar in concert this week with a great friend (and like 3 more of her friends).  I'm looking forward to it since I have wanted to see Kelly Clarkson since she won on Idol like 50 years ago (j/k, but still, I think it was close to 10 years ago!)  This weekend is one of my cousin's birthdays, then my brother's birthday is the weekend after that.  Since when did September become so busy?

I'm still doing my extreme couponing stuff and loving it!  The stores I often stop by each week are:  Walgreens, Dillons, and Target.  Occasionally there will be something great at HyVee or KMart so I'll drop by there, but I really don't find as many good deals at those two places.  I try really hard to stack coupons on top of sales or store coupons.  I've managed to create a small stockpile in our basement.  My husband loves that I buy things that we actually use for a small fraction of what we used to pay for them.

I started my period this past weekend.  There was a small chance that I could have gotten pregnant in August, but I also happend to get a bladder infection.  We figured that I most likely was not going to be pregnant because I was focused on taking my antibiotics and getting better rather than continuously trying to get pregnant.  I was so proud of myself because I did not buy any home pregnancy tests this past month.  I kind of started this rule for myself after what happened in July...I'm not going to take a home pregnancy test until I miss my period.  If I have another chemical pregnancy, I just don't even want to know about it by testing early.  I would rather be unaware than have to go through all that excitement and then huge disappointment all over again.  I'm trying not to put too much pressure on myself and my husband, but I really want to get pregnant this month.  If that were to happen, then the baby would most likely be born in June.  Since I'm a teacher this would be ideal for me.  I wouldn't have to write sub plans for when I'm on maternity leave and I would get the whole summer off (approximately 8 weeks...not as long as you might think) to be home with our baby.  Cross your fingers!

I had told chris that if it dint happen for us first try we would just 'stop trying' as hard anyway :) I never ever told him when I was ovulating and he liked it that way. I'm also hoping you get an easy first trimester! being sick is not fun at all... peanut butter and crackers helped a lot. that is all I ate for nearly two weeks
