Yesterday I called about the job I interviewed for back in February. The HR person told me that they had already hired 2 new people and a third position was pending. I took that to mean that I probably will not get it. I'm not 100% sure since I'm still waiting for a letter stating that I didn't get it, but odds are not good.
At first I was really upset and thought I might cry, but after spending some time thinking about it and talking to my husband I realized that if it's not meant to be there must be some other plan in store for me. Honestly, I was really nervous after my interview because I thought I just might get it and it would be a huge life change for me. If I stay at my current job I will get my summer off (only 26 more teaching days!) and only work full-time for another 1-2 more years.
Once my husband gets a full-time job as an attorney and our baby is born I would really like to work part-time. I have no idea what kind of part-time job it will be, since it's practically unheard of to be a part-time teacher. Some of my family and friends have suggested being a private tutor. We'll see...
