Gender Reveal Party

I came across this idea on Pinterest that was tagged as a baby shower idea.  When I clicked on the link, I realized that it was actually about a gender reveal party.  This one still talked about using the blue or pink balloons in a box for the actual reveal, but it also had more detail as far as the party goes.  I love the cravings bar, tally chart guesses on a chalkboard (I am obsessed with chalkboards right now*), and the girl/boy pins.  Check out the blog here.

After reading this I had to share with my husband.  He thinks we could pull something like this off, with one major change.  Instead of the two of us not knowing the sex of the baby, we would go to the sonogram and find out for ourselves if we were having a boy or a girl, but just not tell anyone else until the party.  You can probably tell by now, but we are both horrible at keeping secrets!  So, we would need to have the party the same day as the sonogram.  I know this is completely cart before horse, but I am so excited about all of the fun ideas I'm discovering.

*I am going to make it my summer goal to complete at least 2 cute, framed chalkboards.  I really want one to track my maternity pictures week-by-week and now I also have to have one for the gender reveal party!
