My second baby shower was on Sunday, April 21 when I was 33 Weeks and 2 Days pregnant. It had friends and both sides of the family at it. My mom, aunt, cousin, and sister-in-law all worked together to pull it off. It was at a local Lake shelterhouse. It was a beautiful day and they did an amazing job! My mom rented the shelterhouse, mailed the invitations, and did the fruit and punch. My aunt and cousin did the games, brought the cake, and provided the tablecloths, plates, napkins, and silverware. My sister-in-law created and printed the invitations, took pictures at the shower, did all of the decorations, and made a photo album of the shower for me.
Some of the great gifts Ava and I got were: bibs, a sleep sack, bottles, a thermometer, my breast pump, diapers and wipes, a baby book, some adorable clothes, a boppy pillow, a bouncer, blankets, a nursery rhyme book with CD, a Babies 'R Us gift card, and a bottle warmer.
I feel so blessed to have receieved so many essentials for Ava. It seriously takes a village to raise a child! I had such a fun time at the shower and it seemed like everyone else did, too. Now I'm looking forward to introducing our daughter to all of my amazing friends and family!
