34 Weeks

How far along? 34 Weeks 6 Days
Total weight gain/loss: +37 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes
Stretch marks? Yes
Sleep:  I get up 1-2 times in the night to go to the bathroom.  My hips still fall asleep from sleeping on my sides.  Now that it's getting warmer outside, I've been getting really hot in bed.  I think it's mostly my body pillow that traps the heat from my body.
Best moment this week: Taking maternity pictures!  My sister-in-law took them for us and it was the most perfect day.  We had a great time and the pictures are amazing.  It seriously looks like a professional took them!  I'll do a separate post with lots of pictures about it.
Miss Anything?:  Having ab muscles - it is impossible to bend at the waist for anything!
Movement:  Yes, lots.  This tells me that baby girl still has room in there to grow.
Food cravings: Still crave all kinds of fruit
Anything making you queasy or sick:  Leaning too far back or laying on my back.  I have to sit up straight on the couch and in my car otherwise I'll start to feel sick.  Now I've even noticed the nausea when I'm turning from side-to-side in bed.
Have you started to show yet:  Yes
Gender: Girl
Labor Signs: None, although I think my husband and I are both getting anxious for the first labor signs.  I feel a little bit more vigilant toward my body lately.
Symptoms: Stretch marks, heartburn, swelling in my hands, ankles, and feet, achiness in my hands from the swelling.
Belly Button in or out?  Out
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy
Looking forward to:  Our next doctor's appointment, next Tuesday.  I always like hearing baby girl's heartbeat.

Here's some info. from babycenter.com on pregnancy at 34 weeks:

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
